The industrial real estate sectors in Calgary and specifically, Rocky View County, and Edmonton, have experienced a consistent demand for both purchase and lease transactions over the past several years. This is driven by a combination of factors.

On December 1, 2020, the Alberta Ministry of Infrastructure released the new Public-Private Partnership Framework and Guideline and the new Unsolicited Proposal Framework and Guideline, with the aim of finding alternative ways to deliver infrastructure projects, while enticing the private sector to come forward with creative financing solutions. Both the P3 Framework and USP Framework seem to indicate a heavy shift towards the usage of the public-private partnership model in Alberta on capital projects.

The Government of Alberta has launched its long-term plan for economic recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the historic fall in oil prices. <a rel="noopener noreferrer" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.alberta.ca/recovery-plan.aspx" target="_blank">Alberta’s Recovery Plan</a> is the province's strategy to invest in infrastructure, diversify the economy and create jobs.
