Westgold and Karora Complete Merger

Perth-based Westgold Resources Limited and Toronto's Karora Resources Inc. have announced the completion of their merger to create a leading mid-tier gold producer and international gold company expected to be dual listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).
 
Bennett Jones acted as Canadian legal advisor to Karora on the transaction.
 
Westgold has acquired 100% of the issued and outstanding shares of Karora by way of a statutory plan of arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act. The full details of the merger are available here.
