For 25 years, Curtis has advised leading public and private companies and private equity groups on domestic and cross-border M&A, divestitures, leveraged and management buyouts, going private transactions, initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions.
His practice covers a wide range of industries and he serves various clients including multinational companies, Canadian chartered banks, investment and merchant banks, private equity groups and other varied funds.
Curtis is ranked in multiple legal directories as one of the leading lawyers in M&A, corporate and commercial law in Canada, the United States and internationally. In addition to the law, Curtis is actively involved in his community and formerly served on the board of the North York General Hospital Foundation and as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and Governor’s Council. Most recently Curtis joined a team of cyclists as they undertook the Wellspring Peloton Challenge—riding from Toronto to Las Vegas in support of the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation.
