Overview

Bronwynn Shaw has a general corporate commercial and securities practice, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and corporate governance matters.

Bronwynn has experience assisting clients with public offerings, private placements of debt and equity securities and mergers and acquisitions (public and private). Bronwynn also advises public issuers on corporate and securities law matters, continuous disclosure obligations and other regulatory compliance issues.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Bronwynn summered and articled with the firm. In 2017, Bronwynn was seconded to the Enforcement branch of the Ontario Securities Commission.

Park Lawn Corporation, a funeral, cremation and cemetery provider, in its C$1.2-billion going private transaction involving Viridian Acquisition.
Spark Power Group Inc. in connection with its acquisition by an affiliate of American Pacific Group by way of Court-approved plan of arrangement.
Everyday People Financial Inc., in its listing on the TSX Venture Exchange by way of a "Qualifying Transaction" with Justify Capital Corp., a Capital Pool Company, to form Everyday People Financial Corp., including the non-brokered private placement of convertible debentures for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $2.8 million and the brokered private placement of units for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $4.7 million.
Cresco Labs Inc. in its US$2-billion acquisition of Columbia Care Inc., making Cresco the second-largest cannabis producer and retailer in the U.S. at the time of the transaction.
Cresco Labs, in its US$207-million acquisition of Bluma Wellness Inc. a vertically integrated operator in Florida.
Excellon Resources Inc., in its $32.3-million acquisition of Otis Gold Corp by way of a Statutory Plan of Arrangement under the BCBCA.
