Vincent M. de Grandpré

Vincent counsels clients across a wide range of industries—including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, technology and consumer products—on how to protect, enforce and capitalize on their IP. His practice covers the entire lifecycle of IP matters, spanning product/service launches, Health Canada regulatory compliance and competitive disputes—all with a focus on helping clients turn intellectual property into business leverage.

Fluent in English and French, Vincent appears before all levels of Canadian courts, including the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. He is renowned "for his prowess in a range of contentious intellectual property situations, notably in cases alleging infringement of patent rights." He is admitted to practise law in Ontario, New York and Québec.

In Canada and around the world, Vincent is recognized as a leading force in IP law. He is consistently ranked in Chambers Canada, Chambers Global and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for intellectual property and intellectual property litigation. He is also featured in Lexpert’s special editions on technology and health sciences, named in IAM Patent 1000 as one of the world’s leading patent litigators, and ranked a global leader by World Intellectual Property Review.

After graduating from law school, Vincent served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Antonio Lamer of the Supreme Court of Canada.
