We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Calgary office:

Paralegal, Commercial Real Estate

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the management of sales, purchases, financing and leasing transactions from beginning through to end; assist with document preparation; track deliverables and key dates; provide timely updates throughout the transaction
  • Responsible for day-to-day interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for working with internal stakeholders on various real estate structures relating to joint ventures, limited partnerships and trusts
  • Responsible for Trust accounting and tracking of account details relating to transactions
  • Responsible for Due Diligence relating to land and environmental matters
  • Utilize ECORE/Agent services as appropriate
  • Mentorship and collaboration with team members from all offices to facilitate cross office and multi-jurisdictional support
  • Work closely the entire Real Estate Team and to prepare high quality, accurate and timely documents

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to senior level experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
  • Paralegal diploma/certificate or equivalent practical experience an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LTO forms, including knowledge of registration requirements and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated through reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to deadlines
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment
