Quentin Vander Schueren has a general international trade and investment law practice, where he advises clients on matters including Canadian customs, trade remedies, bilateral and regional free trade agreement, import-export compliance, Canadian economic sanctions and a variety of other regulatory issues impacting the cross-border movement of goods.
Quentin represents clients in trade controversy matters, including compliance verifications by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) relating to the tariff classification, valuation and origin of imported goods. He also represents clients in trade remedy and customs appeal proceedings before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) and the Canadian Federal Courts.
Quentin served as Chair and Past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association International Law Section. He is also an active member of the Canadian Bar Association International Law Section and an Officer of the International Bar Association’s Trade and Customs Committee.
Quentin was recently recognized in the inaugural edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for his work in International Trade and Finance Law.
