In this article published in the Annual Review of Insolvency Law, Volume 23, Kelsey Meyer and Chyna Brown examined the scope and application of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA). The discussion considered both the current legal framework and whether the Act should apply more broadly or narrowly in light of evolving restructuring needs. The article analyzed key case law and policy considerations shaping access to the CCAA and highlighted implications for debtors, creditors and other stakeholders.
