Ron Ferguson has joined Bennett Jones as a partner in the Toronto office. He brings over 25 years of experience as a dealmaker and has led some of the largest M&A transactions in Canada.

Ron has a diversified corporate practice focused on cross-border public and private M&A, private equity, and corporate finance transactions. He is consistently ranked in Chambers Canada and Chambers Global in private equity—and is recognized as a leading lawyer in M&A and PE by Canadian and international legal directories. 

Highly active in the legal community, Ron is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario. He previously taught advanced corporate law at Queen’s University. A dedicated volunteer leader, Ron is Chairman of the York Football Alumni Association and former chair of the Wellspring Charity Ride. 

Bennett Jones' Mergers & Acquisitions practice spans all industries—particularly those that drive the Canadian economy. The firm's Private Equity group leads their field in Canada and represents all sides in PE transactions, with particular depth on the buy-side on behalf of U.S. and international financial sponsors.
