Andrew Jeanrie assists clients with all stages of real estate development, including planning approvals, construction and strategic analysis. He provides advice based on his extensive knowledge of the development process from planning approvals through to construction of the projects.

Andrew's municipal practice includes regular appearances before municipal councils and committees of adjustment, as well as representing clients in legal proceedings at all levels of Court and administrative tribunals, with a focus on matters before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) formally, (former called Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT), former Ontario Municipal Board, or OMB) and the City of Toronto's Local Appeal Body (TLAB). Andrew also assists clients in analyzing new sites for development, responding to neighbouring development applications, and in municipal due diligence, including zoning and official plan reviews as a part of real estate transactions and real estate financing transactions. In addition, he advises clients on all manner of municipal governance and regulation, such as licensing, sign by-laws, expropriations and permitting.

Andrew also represents clients with respect to a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects, from traditional construction projects to alternative financing procurement/P3 projects. Throughout these engagements he has advised with respect to, among other things, tendering, construction contracts, development agreements, joint venture agreements, project agreements, interface agreements and project financing agreements.

Upon completing his MBA at the Rotman School of Management, Andrew was named a Bregman Scholar and to the Dean's List. He also received the Rotman Citizenship Award. Andrew has held seats on many non-profit Board's, including Toronto Botanical Gardens and Heritage Toronto.

Pinnacle International, in the redevelopment of a large, multi-tower property in the former City of Etobicoke.
Pinnacle International, in the approval of a two-tower mixed-use development in the former City of Scarborough.
Aoyuan Group, land use approvals for a five-tower mixed-use (including residential, office, institutional and retail) development in Toronto.
Kingdom Group, obtaining the land use approvals of a five-tower mixed-use development (including condominium, office, retail, and hotel) in the City of Toronto.
The City of Toronto Economic Development Corporation, obtaining all planning approvals and permits with respect to the development of a 500,000 square foot office development in Toronto.
The owner of the southeast corner of Bloor and Yonge Streets in Toronto, official plan amendment and re-zoning of the site into a 70-storey mixed-use building.
Beaux Properties, land use approvals of a number of projects throughout the GTA, including infill residential towers and power centre retail projects.
A major Chinese development company, municipal and other development permitting issues with respect to a significant development site on Toronto's waterfront.
North York General Hospital, development of a long-term care facility.
Kilmer Group, municipal issues in the redevelopment of the former Humber River Hospital.
University Health Network, redevelopment of the former nurses residence site.
University Health Network, in matters dealing with the long-term planning of the City's downtown and the role of the Health Sciences District as well as in the appropriate setbacks to be applied to institutional uses pursuant to the City's Tower separation regime.
Ryerson University, a variety of land use planning issues around the development of their Toronto Campus.

A major motor vehicle manufacturer, obtaining all land use approvals necessary for the only new vehicle assembly plant in Ontario in the last 30 years.
Assist and advise clients, including pension funds, REITS, independent land owners, state owned enterprises, and developers, with respect to zoning and municipal matters, including permitting and other due diligence, relating to the purchase and sale of major office, residential and retail buildings, including portfolios, throughout the GTA.
Land use developers, analyzing and re-zoning a wide variety of major development projects, including mixed-use, condominium, single family, subdivision, apartment, office, manufacturing, warehouse, entertainment, and retail projects.
Bird Capital and Bird Design-Build Construction Inc., as part of the shortlisted team, in all negotiations and contracts with the authority, lenders and other contractors with respect to the North Island Hospitals Infrastructure project on Vancouver Island, BC.
A construction and services contractor, with the development and maintenance of the Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto.
APTIM Services Canada, in various contracts for the design and construction work relating to the refurbishment of the Bruce Power Nuclear facility.
Kiewit Infrastructure, with respect to the development of a major hydro damn in northern Ontario.
Joseph Brant Hospital, with an addition to the Hospital as part of an AFP project.
KingSett Capital, drafting and negotiation of the construction contracts and obtaining the necessary development permits in developing a mixed use building in downtown Toronto.
KingSett Capital, approval of certain minor variance and zoning matters relating to properties throughout the GTA.
