David Cassin

David works closely with employers, providing guidance on a wide range of employment and labour law issues. His expertise includes employee terminations, human rights matters, drafting and enforcing employment contracts, accommodation and disability issues, and workplace harassment complaints and investigations. He also provides workplace training with a focus on employer obligations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Human Rights Code. His hands-on approach ensures that his advice is both practical and aligned with the unique needs and of his clients.

A skilled advocate, David represents clients at all levels of court in Ontario and before regulatory and arbitral tribunals. He has also appeared as counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada.

In addition to his employment law practice, David has experience in civil and commercial disputes—including product liability, civil fraud, and class actions. His multidisciplinary background enables David to tackle clients' challenges with a holistic approach, crafting well-rounded and forward-thinking strategies from the outset.

David is an active thought leader, writing regularly on leading employment law, administrative law and commercial litigation topics. A member of the Toronto Advocates’ Society and a registered notary public, David is dedicated to contributing to the legal profession and the community.
