Bennett Jones Vancouver Hosts Women in Cleantech Challenge

Bennett Jones' Vancouver office, in partnership with MaRS (North America's largest urban innovation hub and based in Toronto), presents two legal workshops by partners, Sara Parchello (Employment – Toronto) and Kelly R. Ford (Corporate – Calgary) to the finalists of the Women in Cleantech Challenge, organized by MaRS in partnership with Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN). Each of the finalists have the opportunity to develop their ideas into a marketable cleantech solution and compete for a $1-million prize, which will be awarded in the winter of 2020/21. Following the two-hour workshop, Bennett Jones hosted a networking event attended by numerous senior representatives of the BC Cleantech CEO Alliance and other players in the cleantech space, including investors such as various venture funds as well as government entities such as NRCAN and the Export Development Bank of Canada. Xenia Wong organized this event on behalf of Bennett Jones.
