Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act: What You Need to Know Before January 1, 2012

November 24, 2011

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is intended to break down barriers that prevent or limit people with disabilities from participating in society. To accomplish this goal the AODA creates accessibility standards (i.e., rules to identify and remove barriers) regarding customer service, information and communication, employment and transportation that employers in Ontario must implement as early as January 1, 2012.

Please join our experienced panel:

Mary Beth Currie, Partner, Employment Services Group
Carl Cunningham, Partner, Employment Services Group

For a discussion of:

  • The applicable accessibility standards;
  • The deadlines for compliance; and
  • The practical steps your business must take to comply with AODA.

Date: Thursday, November 24, 2011
Registration and Lunch: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
