John Manley appears live on CBC TV's Power & Politics to discuss the top concerns of Canadian businesses as the federal minority government takes shape. John says that above all, businesses in Canada are looking for a sense that the government understands the challenges they're facing—that businesses are in a global competition to attract capital to Canada and to export their goods to other countries.
John says the government also needs to look at the regulatory barriers in Canada to getting projects done, particularly overlapping and duplicating regulations and getting consultations done in a timely and predictable manner.
