He advises a broad base of clients in the residential, hotel, retail and industrial sectors as to real estate transactions with respect to the purchase and sale of properties, complex real estate mixed use projects and real-estate financing, in addition to conducting due diligence and title reviews.

Richard also regularly represents landlords and tenants with respect to drafting, negotiating and reviewing offers to lease, lease agreements and related documents as to office, industrial and retail properties. He has notably acted on behalf of several leading retailers as to their leasing and real estate transactions.

Richard also advises businesses on a broad range of legal matters and commercial transactions including mergers & acquisitions, financings, private equity investments, corporate reorganizations and shareholders' agreements. He has negotiated and completed transactions in various sectors including food, paper, manufacturing, brokerage, telecommunications and retail. He also has vast experience in the negotiation and drafting of distribution, joint venture and service agreements.

In financing and banking transactions, such as those involving term and operating loans, Richard represents both borrowers and lenders in the negotiation and drafting of loan, security agreements and all related agreements.
