Summarize

Bennett Jones is pleased to share that the firm has been included in the Global Restructuring Review (GRR) 100 for 2025. The GRR 100 is an annual guide that identifies and profiles the top 100 law firms worldwide with leading practices in cross-border restructuring and insolvency. Firms are selected based on the scale, complexity and significance of their work in the global market.

Our inclusion reflects the continued strength and growth of Bennett Jones’ Restructuring & Insolvency group, one of the largest and most active practices in Canada. The team is recognized nationally and internationally as a leading Canadian restructuring practice with special expertise in cross-border matters and regularly acts for creditors, debtors, new money investors, acquirors of distressed assets and Court officers such as CCAA monitors. The group also has a long track record representing foreign bondholders, banks, insurance companies and other lenders in Canadian restructurings.

The group, now co-led by Kelsey Meyer in Calgary and Sean Zweig in Toronto, includes partners across Canada and is known for its work on complex mandates involving parallel Canadian–US proceedings. The team continues to see strong demand in sectors such as energy, retail and life sciences, supported by the firm’s integrated litigation, regulatory and transactional capabilities.
