Allyson Marta has joined Bennett Jones as a partner in the firm's Toronto office. She provides strategic advice on pensions and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including risks and broader corporate objectives. Her practice focuses on pensions and benefits in corporate transactions, creditor/debtor agreements, and restructurings and insolvencies.
Allyson advises clients on pension plan compliance, governance, investments, and administration. She also assists clients with navigating legal and regulatory matters related to retirement and benefit plans more broadly.
Active in pensions and benefits industry groups, Allyson is a member of the Association of Canadian Pension Management—Ontario Regional Council. She is also Chair of the Ontario Bar Association—Pensions and Benefits Law Section, a member of the Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute’s Southern Alberta Programming Committee, and a member of the Women in Pensions steering committee.
Allyson is recognized in Chambers Canada 2025 as Up and Coming for Pensions & Benefits, in Legal 500 for Pensions and in Best Lawyers 2025 for Employee Benefits Law.
