Doug Fenton has a general commercial litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution practice, focused on corporate and commercial disputes, securities litigation, class actions, and fraud. Additionally, Doug has experience in professional regulatory proceedings.
At law school, Doug received a number of academic awards, including course prizes in contracts, administrative law and securities litigation. Doug was also recognized for his oral advocacy in the areas of corporate/securities litigation and criminal law. His work has been published in the Canadian Business Law Journal and cited by the Supreme Court of Canada.
Doug rejoined Bennett Jones as an associate after clerking at the Court of Appeal for Ontario, where he worked for Associate Chief Justice Hoy, Justice Nordheimer and Justice Harvison Young. Prior to his clerkship, Doug summered and articled at the firm.
