Abbas Ali Khan joined a panel of experts at this year's Ontario Economic Summit speaking on Ontario’s critical minerals advantage and the future of transportation.
The panel explored three key areas of opportunity in relation to Ontario's ambitious goal to build an end-to-end electric vehicle (EV) industry:
- Ensuring all-round growth in the process of connecting the mineral wealth in Ontario’s north to the manufacturing capacity in the south.
- Building a supportive ecosystem to accompany recent investments, comprised of a pipeline of skilled workers, a culture of innovation, and effective coordination among industry, academia, and research centres.
- Emphasizing collaboration with Indigenous Peoples and small to mediumsized enterprises as equal partners in this economic opportunity
