James Heelan, KC was a featured speaker at the 2022 CPA Forum North Conference in Jasper Alberta. Along with John Fuller from Felesky Flynn LLP, James presented on Alternative Methods for Handling Shareholder Disputes, focusing on:
- the basics of unanimous shareholders' agreements (USAs), partnerships and corporations;
- how to avoid a shareholders fight;
- options available should a fight break out; and
- how best to get your clients a deal.
The CPA Forum North Conference is presented by the Edmonton CPA club and provides accounting and tax learning opportunities, with sessions designed to be relevant to the owner/manager accountant and tax advisor.
