In Christopher Guly's article in Lawyers Weekly, "The History of Canada's Top Law Firms: Big Fish in a Small Pond," the expectation of further international law firm investment into the Canadian legal landscape is discussed. While more mergers are expected between Canadian and global legal firms, Bennett Jones' international expansion without a merger is highlighted. Interviewed in the article is law firm consultant Michael Short of Hildebrandt Baker Robbins in Washington, D.C., who comments that Bennett Jones has been in "the right place at the right time… It's established itself in the marketplace and has become part of what I call the Eight Sisters."
