Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that it has been supporting the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), as Canadian legal counsel, by advising on sponsorship, partnership and other agreements. The PWHPA's mission is to promote, advance and support a single, viable, professional women's ice hockey league in North America that showcases the greatest product of women's professional ice hockey in the world.
The PWHPA works to demonstrate that there is demand for the PWHPA's vision of a professional league for the top female ice hockey players in the world, which would include more than 43 medal-winning Olympians, more than 60 members of Hockey Canada and USA Hockey, and National Champions from several other countries including Finland and Russia. The PWHPA is holding a series of tournaments across the United States and Canada, entitled the PWHPA Secret® Dream Gap Tour, to showcase the greatest product of women's professional ice hockey in the world. The Canadian leg of the Secret® Dream Gap Tour is taking place in Calgary, Alberta from May 24 to May 30, 2021.
