Katherine has a general litigation practice with a focus on health law and bankruptcy and insolvency. She serves clients operating in numerous industries.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Katherine worked as a nurse in the health care sector where she gained unique insights into health law. Additionally, she completed a Master of Nursing degree prior to entering law school.
Katherine clerked with the Court of Appeal of Alberta in 2013- 2014. While attending law school, Katherine served as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review and was on the Dean’s List, Faculty of Law, University of Alberta, 2010-2013. Katherine also won the Faculty of Law Undergraduate Scholarship, 2011, 2012 and was Top Oralist, Bennett Jones Health Law Moot, 2013. During law school, Katherine was also actively involved with the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta.
Katherine has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. She chairs the Creditor & Debtor section of the Canadian Bar Association (2020-21).
