John Manley appeared live on CBC TV to discuss Prime Minister Carney’s first phone call with President Trump and what it could mean for the Canada-US relationship and ongoing trade war. John says it is nearly impossible to predict what President Trump’s next move will be. What’s most important is for Canada to fix the things that need to be repaired and improved in our own economy and look for trading partners elsewhere—while at the same time trying to build a reasonable and rational relationship with the US to the greatest degree possible.
