The National Post reports that Bennett Jones' partners Bryan Haynes and Scott Bodie are leading the firm as pro bono legal counsel to the Ty Pozzobon Foundation. The Foundation's aim is to protect and support the health and well-being of rodeo competitors inside and outside the arena. It is named for Ty Pozzobon from Merritt, B.C., who was a hometown and Canadian rodeo hero. Ty took his own life on Jan. 9, 2017 at 25 years old. His family and friends believe his suicide was a result of brain injuries after suffering numerous concussions over the course of his bull riding career.
