Our International Trade Group is expanding and is currently seeking a junior associate to join its highly regarded team in our Toronto Office. This group is well positioned as a full-service international trade law practice, with trade litigation/arbitration, advisory, and investigations matters that span tariff policy and customs law, trade remedies, treaty arbitration, sanctions, export controls, controlled goods, anti-corruption, supply chain, cross-border product regulatory, and government procurement work.
The ideal candidate will be called to the Bar in Ontario or in another province in Canada, have a demonstrated interest in international trade law, including its dispute resolution, public policy, and practical business dimensions. French proficiency and other language skills will be considered assets. Relevant litigation, public international law, economics, accounting, and business experience is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career and skills as part of a highly successful practice and will receive advanced training, mentoring and significant client exposure. This is the ideal position for someone who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, strong initiative, excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and who is a consummate team player.
