Amy Verhoeff has a general corporate and commercial practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and transactions and other corporate law matters.
Amy routinely advises buyers, sellers and private equity groups on a wide range of transactions, including joint ventures, asset and share purchases and sales, corporate reorganizations and fund formations. Her work on these transactions ranges from strategic advice to legal and business risk analysis, due diligence and drafting of definitive agreements and ancillary documents. She also advises clients with corporate and governance issues that arise in businesses, non-profit organizations and professional corporations.
As an active member of the local business community, Amy currently serves on the advisory committees of the Edmonton Chapter of Young ACG (Association for Corporate Growth) and the Stollery Women's Network. She is also a member of Edmonton Women in Finance's professional sub-committee.
Prior to becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Amy summered and articled with the firm.
