Established almost 90 years ago in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Bennett Jones has grown alongside the western Canadian economy, influenced primarily by energy, natural resources and infrastructure development. Bennett Jones has expanded organically and by selecting excellent people who are culturally compatible and who are best positioned to serve our international client base. This is reflected in the outstanding growth over the past decade of our office in the financial and industrial centre of Toronto, Ontario, allowing the firm to "breathe with two lungs" from the two most influential cities in Canada. With a solid base in these Canadian power centres and offices in Edmonton and Ottawa, the firm supports clients involved in energy, natural resources, infrastructure, real estate, intellectual property, high tech, manufacturing, and finance.

Bennett Jones' commitment to serve clients engaged in building business and financial relationships extends to Canadian and Chinese parties involved in the growing Canada-China business and financial relationship. Bennett Jones is honoured to have been asked to advise Chinese government ministries and agencies, state-owned enterprises and entrepreneurs in connection with Canadian matters.

In 2013, Bennett Jones was awarded one of China Business Law Journal's Deals of the Year for Sino-Forest Corporation's restructuring.
