April 11, 2012

Technical expertise and even brilliance are not enough when it comes to working effectively with senior business executives and other key decision makers. In-house counsel and business leaders need superior influencing skills to become trusted advisors, make the best contribution to their “clients” and provide effective leadership through difficult situations.

Join Bennett Jones and external facilitator:

Dirk Schlimm, Consultant and Executive Coach, Jenoir Management Consultants

for a BJU professionalism series course focusing on six key principles of effective client management:

  • Understanding strong-willed executives and their motivation;
  • Making sense of global stakeholder attitudes, realities and priorities;
  • Strategies for communicating and influencing business partners;
  • Effectively framing advice - including difficult advice;
  • Managing stakeholder disputes and conflicts; and
  • Maintaining independence and integrity.
