Summarize

Bennett Jones is delighted to be a part of the inaugural Open Streets event to be held in Toronto on Sunday, August 17 and Sunday, August 31, 2014.

Open Streets is a world-renowned program that opens streets to people and closes them to cars encouraging participation in physical activity and healthy recreation. They are free, regularly occurring programs, and offer communities the opportunity to experience their city streets in a whole new way. OpenStreets TO will turn several of Toronto's most iconic streets into "paved parks" where people of all ages, abilities and social, economic and ethnic backgrounds can participate in fun interactive activities and explore some of Toronto's dynamic neighbourhoods in a healthy way. OpenStreets TO will provide stimulus to local businesses, offer a setting for greater civic participation and integration, and build support for the provision of broader transportation choices.
