Ashley White and Sabrina A. Bandali are winners of Lexpert Rising Star awards for 2023. This prestigious award honours Canada’s leading lawyers under 40 from law firms, in-house departments and other practices. This year's Rising Stars were announced at a gala event in Toronto on November 23.

Ashley White

Ashley is the Energy Practice Co-Head and a leading commercial energy lawyer in Canada known for her pragmatic, deal-oriented approach. Ashley’s practice relates primarily to corporate and commercial transactions, with a specific focus on project development, joint ventures, and private mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry. Ashley is actively involved in the Calgary community, including as a committee member of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation Jasper Seminar, the premier event for energy practitioners, and is a member of the Petroleum Acquisition and Divestiture Association. She is on the board of directors for The Women's Centre in Calgary and has previously served as a committee member and director on other non-profits in Calgary and Edmonton. Ashley is also the Co-Chair of the Student Recruitment Committee in Calgary.
Sabrina A. Bandali
Partner, Toronto
Sabrina helps Canadian and international clients navigate a broad range of international trade and investment law issues. She provides strategic advice related to free trade and investment protection agreements, customs law, foreign corrupt practices, economic sanctions, export controls, trade remedies, supply chain/forced labour and international disputes, including investment treaty arbitration. She represents clients in a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, consumer products, retail/fashion, life sciences, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. Sabrina is a member of the Advocates' Society, American Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association and Transparency International. She is a Past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association national Women Lawyers Forum.
