Oleg Shcheglov

Oleg maintains a general corporate practice with a focus on private mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions across multiple industries, including biotech, software, energy and natural resources. He has experience acting for both acquirers and sellers at every stage of the business life cycle, from advising founders on formation and governance to assisting with the structuring and completion of domestic and cross-border acquisitions.

In 2024, Oleg completed a six-month secondment with EarthDaily Analytics Corp. as an in-house legal consultant, handling day-to-day legal matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting due diligence and liaising with outside counsel.

Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Oleg summered and articled with the firm. In addition to his JD, he received a Business Law Concentration certificate from the University of British Columbia. While in law school, he volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program, Pro Bono Students Canada and the Business Law Clinic.

Oleg is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
