Christopher McKenna is responsible for the operation and administration of junior associate and student development in Toronto. He is the first point of contact for our juniors and oversees all aspects of their onboarding, training, performance management, mentoring and recruitment, including law school recruitment events such as career fairs, panel discussions, and social events, while supporting their long-term career progression as they develop into senior associates at the firm.
Christopher also has a general litigation practice focusing on corporate commercial, estate, and regulatory litigation. He has appeared and assisted in representing clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Appeal and has acted as duty counsel and amicus in support of Pro Bono Ontario. Christopher supports the Osgoode Investor Protection Clinic as external counsel and acts as an adjunct professor for Osgoode Hall Law School, where he co-teaches the Advanced Commercial Litigation Workshop, a course designed to expose future lawyers to corporate commercial litigation in Toronto.
Christopher is a member of the National Association of Law Placement (NALP), former Chair of the OCI Advisory Committee, and a contributor to the NALP Bulletin as well as past presenter at the Annual NALP Education Conference. He completed his Mental Health First Aid Training Certification in April 2022.
Christopher joined Bennett Jones after summering and articling with the firm.
