Andrew Froh is a commercial litigator with a focus on insolvency proceedings where he assists clients navigate high-stakes disputes and chart a path towards business solutions.
Andrew is a trusted advisor to clients on their most complex legal issues. Whether advocating for their interests before our courts or negotiating out-of-court resolutions, Andrew is known for the level of skill and pragmatism he brings to each matter. In his restructuring and insolvency practice, Andrew advises key stakeholders including debtor companies, court-appointed officers, secured and unsecured creditors, debtor-in-possession lenders, and distressed asset purchasers.
Andrew has appeared as counsel before the superior and appellate courts of British Columbia, domestic arbitration tribunals, and in proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. He acts for local and international clients in a wide range of industries including energy, mining, forestry, real estate, retail, automotive, and financial services.
Andrew is a dedicated mentor to our associates and students and sits on our Associate Liaison Committee. He also sits as an executive member of the Insolvency Law Section with the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch, and is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and INSOL International.
Before joining Bennett Jones, Andrew articled at another national law firm, clerked for the judges of the Tax Court of Canada, and then practised in tax litigation where he represented clients in disputes with federal and provincial revenue authorities.
