Zachery Fries

Zachery Fries is currently completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta, where he serves as President of the Environmental Law Students Association and volunteers with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. He has been recognized for academic excellence as a recipient of the Beverley M. Burns Scholarship in Environmental and Conservation Sciences.

Prior to law school, Zachery completed a Bachelor in Environmental and Conservation Sciences (Conservation Biology) at the University of Alberta. Before returning to school, he worked as an environmental consultant supporting regulatory approvals for aggregate operations and held teaching and research roles at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences.
