Bennett Jones congratulates Michael Eizenga on being awarded the Law Society Medal by the Law Society of Upper Canada. This is the highest honour bestowed by the Law Society on a member.

Michael was awarded the Medal at the 2017 Law Society Awards at Osgoode Hall in Toronto on May 24, 2017. At the event, the dedication to his award stated:
"Called to the Bar in 1991, Michael Eizenga is an undisputed leader in the class action Bar. He recognized the importance and the utility of the class action device to facilitate access to justice, and was co-counsel on the first class action in Ontario. For 25 years, he has been at the forefront of the development of class action law and practice in Canada as a teacher, author and counsel.
He is also recognized for his outstanding commitment to public service and volunteerism, and has generously given his time to numerous professional, community and charitable endeavours throughout his career. Among his current endeavours, he chairs the board of War Child Canada. Michael Eizenga is a partner and Head of Class Actions at the law firm Bennett Jones."
