Gordon McKenna has joined Bennett Jones as a partner in the Toronto office. His practice focuses on a wide range of capital markets and business law matters, including corporate finance, M&A and corporate governance.

Gordon acts for:

  • issuers and underwriters in connection with public and private debt and equity financings, including domestic and cross-border transactions; 
  • offerors and targets on negotiated and unsolicited acquisitions, as well as purchasers and vendors in connection with asset and share purchase transactions; and
  • a wide range of market participants, including issuers, underwriters, dealers and other financial institutions, on Canadian securities regulatory and compliance issues.

Gordon was previously a partner at another national law firm where he advised clients in a variety of capital markets transactions and securities regulatory matters, including public financings, M&A, private placements and corporate governance and compliance matters.

Prior to earning his M.B.A. and his LL.B., Gordon worked as a professional engineer at Honda Canada's automotive manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ontario.
