Summarize

Bennett Jones has once again been ranked a Canada's Top Employers for Young People. This is the sixth consecutive year the firm has been selected as a winning organization. Bennett Jones is one of only of two law firms to be named to the list of 100 Canadian organizations.

Reasons for Bennett Jones being recognized again as a Top Employer for Young People include:

  • Bennett Jones works with various post-secondary institutions such as SAIT Polytechnic, Bow Valley College, MacEwan University and the University of Toronto to hire legal assistant practicum students each year—the 6-week program includes in-house training, rotational assignments, mentoring and job-shadowing opportunities
  • Bennett Jones invests significantly in training and development, providing financial support for offsite training and university courses and seminars, and offering in-house mentoring for legal assistants, legal summer students and articling students
  • The firm maintains the Bennett Jones Academy, a formal program to provide students and lawyers with extensive, ongoing legal education to help them earn the required credits to maintain their Law Society membership

Canada's Top Employers for Young People recognizes the employers that offer the country's best workplaces and programs for young people just starting their careers. The top 100 employers are Canada's leaders in attracting and retaining younger employees to their organizations.
