Parker Mckibbon has a corporate commercial law practice with a focus on project development, infrastructure and energy law. Parker regularly assists his clients in a variety of different industries including construction, power and renewables, oil and gas, social infrastructure, technology and agriculture. He utilizes his prior on-site experience on infrastructure projects to better understand the issues that his clients are facing and to develop creative and practical solutions.
For large-scale projects, Parker provides strategic advice to owners, developers and contractors in the structuring, drafting and negotiation of a range of project development agreements such as Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts, Design Build Agreements, Construction Contracts and other related project agreements. Parker also advises owners and bidders in the drafting and negotiation of procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs).
Additionally, Parker assists buyers and sellers in a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including asset and share purchase transactions, amalgamations, corporate reorganizations, dissolutions and other corporate matters.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Parker worked with a large national general contractor in multiple roles including working as a mainline pipeline labourer in Northern Alberta. Parker summered and articled with the firm.
