2023 Employment Symposium

The Bennett Jones Employment Services group hosted its annual Employment Symposium on Thursday, May 18. This half-day session provides both jurisdictional and national employment updates.

Our legal authorities presented on provincially specific court decisions and legislative changes, as well as national updates related to returning to the office, workplace investigations, artificial intelligence in the workplace and post-pandemic court decisions regarding wrongful dismissal. The general session concluded with a conversation with Dr. Hashman, forensic psychiatrist, regarding mental health illness in the workplace and the employer's duty to accommodate.
