Anne McLellan spoke with The Canadian Press for a feature story on the first year of cannabis legalization and regulation in Canada. Anne says the year has gone extremely well, particularly in Alberta.

Next is the production and sale of cannabis edibles, extracts and topicals, which became legal in Canada on October 17, 2019. These products will appear gradually and should be available in stores no earlier than mid-December 2019.
