Anne McLellan writes in the Toronto Star on why Canadians now need a clearly articulated and ambitious economic plan for a more inclusive, sustainable and prosperous country.
Anne is co-chair of the Coalition for a Better Future, an initiative that brings together a diverse group of more than 100 Canadian organizations to look beyond short-term interests to build consensus around an ambitious plan for Canada’s long-term economic future.
On October 27-28, the Coalition will convene a summit to explore how the public, private and non-profit sectors can collaborate in support of long-term, inclusive, and sustainable growth. Following the summit, the Coalition hopes to bring forward a set of shared principles that could underpin a bold new economic and social vision for Canada.
