Bennett Jones is proud to announce that Sharon Singh of our Vancouver office was awarded a Wendy McDonald Award, in the category of Women of Promise. Sharon was recognized at an awards ceremony at the Vancouver Club on March 30, 2016.
The Wendy McDonald awards are presented by the Women's Leadership Circle (WLC) of the Vancouver Board of Trade. The Wendy McDonald awards were developed to commemorate her tremendous and historic contribution to BC's entrepreneurial spirit and recognize outstanding women and champions of women in Vancouver.
"Congratulations to Sharon on this honour. She does a tremendous job of creating value for our clients and the community," says Hugh MacKinnon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bennett Jones.
Sharon has a corporate commercial and regulatory law practice with an emphasis on energy, mining, environmental assessment, and Aboriginal law. She works on resource development and infrastructure projects, advising clients on regulatory approval requirements, due diligence and risk management, Aboriginal and community relations, and strategic communications. Sharon has been a member of the Mining Association of British Columbia and is a member of the Business Council of British Columbia's Aboriginal and Environmental committees.
