Peter Banks Joins Bennett Jones

Bennett Jones is delighted to announce that Peter Banks has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department in Calgary. Peter joins us from the Edmonton office of another prominent Canadian law firm. Peter received his B.Ed. from the University of Alberta in 1997, his LL.B. from the U of A in 2002 (as the Gold Medalist), and his B.C.L. from Oxford in 2004 (with Distinction). He was called to the Bar in Alberta in 2003. In 2004-2005 he clerked with the Honourable Mr. Justice Jack Major at the Supreme Court of Canada. Peter has since appeared before the Supreme Court on three occasions. He has been recognized in Lexpert as one of Canada's top 40 lawyers under 40 and as a Litigation Lawyer to Watch in Lexpert's Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross-Border Litigation Lawyers in Canada.
