Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Kim Maguire has joined the firm as a partner in Vancouver. Kim's practice includes all aspects of business income tax and she brings experience in a range of sectors, including mining, cannabis, technology, investment management and real estate.
Kim has experience with reorganization and financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies and establishing investment and mortgage funds. Additionally, she is experienced in structures for international clients conducting business in Canada and Canadian companies with international operations.
Kim is very active in the Canadian and international tax community and she frequently presents at tax conferences and events. Kim is currently serving on the Executive of the Canadian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) as Treasurer and oversees the Women of IFA Network in Canada.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Kim was a partner at another Canadian national law firm.
