Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Claire Kennedy has been appointed Managing Partner, Clients and Industries of the firm. In her new role, she will work with the Vice Chair, Clients and Industries, leading and coordinating the firm’s industry groups and client initiatives.
Claire will also continue with her legal practice, where she helps clients solve some of their most complex tax and business problems. She is recognized as one of Canada's leading lawyers in tax and transfer pricing and represents large taxpayers during audits and disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency. She is also a seasoned board director and a professional engineer.
Claire has served on the University of Toronto's Governing Council since 2012 and was appointed Chair on July 1, 2017. She is a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee at Rotman and has been extensively involved at UofT's Faculty of Engineering. She is past President of the Engineering Alumni Association and founder and Chair of its Biz Skule™ committee.
