On November 25, 2008 Lexpert magazine recognized Canada's top 40 lawyers and corporate counsel under 40 at the Rising Stars Gala in Toronto, Ontario. Bryan Haynes, a corporate partner in the firm's Calgary office was among the recipients of this award.
Bryan was selected as a finalist by Lexpert and was voted in as a winner by the Rising Stars Advisory Committee, which included Bennett Jones' own Hugh MacKinnon. Finalists were selected based on the following criteria:
- deals, cases and/files;
- community or professional involvement, or pro bono work;
- contribution to firm profitability;
- adaptability to change;
- education, awards and affiliations; and
- team player qualities.
