Wendy's meticulous approach and deep understanding of competition law make her a valuable resource for her clients.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2022. Prior to joining Bennett Jones, she practiced at a prominent law firm in Toronto as an associate in their Antitrust and Competition Group. Her practice largely focused on M&A filings before the Competition Bureau and preparing responses to the Bureau's supplemental information request processes. Wendy also contributed to broader firm initiatives, including managing publications and serving as a member of the firm's Data and AI Analytics Working Group. Wendy was seconded to the Bank of Montreal while articling.
Before her legal career, Wendy gained valuable experience as a workforce planner with the Ministry of the Attorney General and as a junior policy advisor to the Treasury Board Secretariat in Ontario, where she developed human capital strategies and workplace accommodation practices. She also summered at a prominent law firm in Seoul, Korea, where she utilized her proficiency in Korean to assist lawyers practicing in corporate and trade law.
