Wendy provides strategic legal advice to clients on complex regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, market share analyses, and impact assessments across diverse industries such as manufacturing, real estate and terminal operations. Wendy's meticulous approach and deep understanding of competition law make her a valuable resource for her clients.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2022. Prior to joining Bennett Jones, she practiced at a prominent law firm in Toronto as an associate in their Antitrust and Competition Group. Her practice largely focused on M&A filings before the Competition Bureau and preparing responses to the Bureau's supplemental information request processes. Wendy also contributed to broader firm initiatives, including managing publications and serving as a member of the firm's Data and AI Analytics Working Group. Wendy was seconded to the Bank of Montreal while articling.
Before her legal career, Wendy gained valuable experience as a workforce planner with the Ministry of the Attorney General and as a junior policy advisor to the Treasury Board Secretariat in Ontario, where she developed human capital strategies and workplace accommodation practices. She also summered at a prominent law firm in Seoul, Korea, where she utilized her proficiency in Korean to assist lawyers practicing in corporate and trade law.
