Ethan has a general litigation practice with an emphasis on class actions procedure. He has experience in mass tort, product liability, fraud, competition, privacy and securities matters.
Ethan has a reputation for developing novel and persuasive legal arguments by drawing on both domestic and foreign jurisprudence. He brings diverse experience to his practice; while articling, he was seconded to the Bank of Montreal’s Wealth Management team and he previously worked as a Provincial Prosecutor and Legal Researcher for the City of Toronto.
As a duty counsel volunteer for Pro Bono Ontario, Ethan devotes significant time to providing pro bono services. He is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association and the Ontario Bar Association and is a licensed notary public.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Ethan summered and articled with the firm. In law school at University of Toronto, Ethan was heavily involved in the mooting program, including competing on winning teams for the Gale Cup and the Commonwealth Moot in Glasgow, Scotland.
