Daniel Ratushny practices corporate and sports law with a focus on international sports dispute resolution private equity and M&A.
Daniel is an Arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland. He has served as Panel Chair on several CAS and national federation sports-related arbitrations involving contractual, anti-doping, Safe Sport, match fixing, and disciplinary matters. He is a former member of the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal.
Daniel has also assisted domestic and international clients in various industries on matters including sports-related transactions, corporate finance, deal structuring, governance and share acquisition transactions.
As a former professional hockey player and head coach, Daniel competed for Team Canada at the 1990 World Junior Championships (Gold) in Helsinki, 1992 Winter Olympics (Silver) in France and two Spengler Cups in Davos, Switzerland. He coached professionally in Germany (DEL), Austria (EBEL) and Switzerland (NLA), served as head coach of the Austrian National Team and is a member of the Cornell University Athletics Hall of Fame.
